Skreet
A Fable of Ink & Influence

The totally true and absolutely accurate account of the stoush between Skreet: the Lord of the Printing Press, and Lala-Lai a humble influencer – troubadour.
Folks lived in the streets and shat in the alleyways
Infected the wells with dead cats on the holy-days

His spell landed,
Heavy handed.
He removed her gag,
Her head sagged.
“The events that unfold, so the minstrels declaim,
An Apocryphal tale of truth, loyalty and fame,
That cannot be proved, for a fable’s a trade-off;
Between History and Rhyme,
it’s not lies we’re afraid of.”
